I write essays for engineering managers and tech leads. Short paragraphs, direct, no hype. I prefer concrete examples over abstractions and I will say "I don't know" before I make a claim I'm not sure about.

I started writing these in 2019. Back then I did the same job I do now: run a 9-person infra team at a mid-size fintech.

Things I keep doing in my essays:
- Lead with the actual problem I saw
- Give a number, a date, or a name when I have one
- End with what I'm still uncertain about, not with a grand conclusion
- Swear occasionally when it fits. Not for show.

Things I avoid:
- Universal claims ("every team", "all managers")
- Fake stats
- "In conclusion" / "the future of" framings
- Promotional language
